Enjoy healthy freshness, experience culinary treats.

Delicate but hearty, savoury and full of flavour. You will experience traditional Bavarian cuisine at our Hotel “Zur Post”. But not only that! Because also in our kitchen the traditional and the modern go hand in hand.

With that said we also have fun surprising epicures with tasty fish dishes or with light healthy fare – as always fresh on the table. That is because all our dishes are freshly prepared and subtly enhanced with herbs straight from our garden. Quite incidentally homemade sauces and delicious side dishes lure your taste buds to heavenly realms. Scrumptious mood improvers for dessert, the finest wines and organic wines along with a wide range of regional beers and spirits round off our culinary offerings perfectly.

Home-made & home-baked

We feel that the art of cooking starts with the choice of fresh ingredients for all our dishes. And indeed we even grow some of these ourselves and prepare them with lots of TLC. Just as we do with our homegrown herbs and in the garden where they flourish distinctive smell of rosemary, lemon balm, and oregano conjoins with the fine aroma of fresh basil and refreshing peppermint.

Next to these tomatoes, chard, lettuce, cucumbers and fennel ripen and compete with each other with their luscious colours. Altogether we have an easy conscience when it comes to cooking the fruits of our garden labours – for example homemade jams to go with our homemade Kaiserschmarrn (thick light pancakes which are torn apart before serving), braided yeast loaf or our yeast dumplings – all made using our own recipes. And that which used to be a purely private delight has, over the years, now become a popular feature with those guests enjoying culinary treats in the Hotel “Alte Post” near Erding, i.e. homemade bread from our very own oven. With or without full kernels all our farmer’s breads are made by Josef Felsl using organic flour and baked with true passion – which makes for an especially hearty indulgence.
